What We Seek in our next rector

“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come?

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

Psalm 121:1-2

Spiritual guidance from a person who is honest, generous, and open to change, with a love of the Episcopal Liturgy and an appreciation for the incorporation of music in the service.

Organizational leadership as we navigate what our church will become post-COVID. We are aware that a shift has occurred in how people might worship and we recognize the need for strategic leadership to determine how Grace should move forward.

The ability to communicate well with all members of our Parish and lead a diverse community by engaging a wide range of individuals.

The intent to educate as well as energize us with meaningful sermons, adult education programs, and other opportunities for spiritual growth.

A dedication to the children and youth of our Parish. The vision to develop strategies for engaging young families, reviving our Sunday School, and continuing our Youth group.

A commitment to outreach and social justice in our environs. Outreach to the greater New Bedford area is woven into our spiritual lives and integral to our community.

Pastoral care rendered with love, understanding, and empathy for any and all who are in need.

The skills necessary to maintain the financial and physical health of our Parish.
